മാഡ്രിഡ്: വടക്കുകിഴക്കന്‍ സ്പാനിഷ് നഗരമായ സരഗോസയ്ക്ക് സമീപമുള്ള ഒരു നഴ്സിംഗ് ഹോമില്‍ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെയുണ്ടായ തീപിടുത്തത്തില്‍ പത്ത് പേര്‍ മരിക്കുകയും രണ്ട് പേര്‍ക്ക് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേല്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഡിമെന്‍ഷ്യയും മറ്റ് മാനസിക പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും ഉള്ളവര്‍ക്കുള്ള നഴ്സിംഗ് ഹോമില്‍ തീപിടുത്തത്തിന്റെ കാരണം അജ്ഞാതമാണ്. പുക ശ്വസിച്ചാണ് മരിച്ചതെന്നാണ് പ്രാദേശിക അധികാരികള്‍ പറയുന്നത്.

പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 5 മണിയോടെയാണ് ഒരു മുറിയില്‍ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചാണ് തീപിടിത്തമുണ്ടായത്. പിന്നീട് സരഗോസയില്‍ നിന്ന് 28 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ അകലെയുള്ള വില്ലഫ്രാങ്ക ഡി എബ്രോ എന്ന ചെറുപട്ടണത്തിലെ സ്ഥാപനത്തിലുടനീളം പുക പടര്‍ന്നു. 2008~ല്‍ പ്രായമായവര്‍ക്കുള്ള പരിചരണ കേന്ദ്രമായി ആരംഭിച്ച ജാര്‍ഡിന്‍സ് ഡി വില്ലഫ്രാങ്ക വസതി ഡിമെന്‍ഷ്യയും മറ്റ് മാനസികാരോഗ്യ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും ഉള്ള എല്ലാ പ്രായത്തിലുമുള്ള ആളുകളെ അടുത്തിടെ ഏറ്റെടുത്തിരുന്നു. തീപിടിത്ത സമയത്ത് 82 താമസക്കാരും രണ്ട് ജീവനക്കാരും കെട്ടിടത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായി പ്രാദേശിക അധികാരികള്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. ഇതില്‍ 25 വയസ്സിന് താഴെയുള്ളവരുണ്ട്.

2022 ന് ശേഷം ഒരു സ്പാനിഷ് നഴ്സിംഗ് ഹോമില്‍ നടന്ന മൂന്നാമത്തെ മാരകമായ തീപിടുത്തം, വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കത്തില്‍ 200 ലധികം ആളുകള്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും തെക്ക് 300 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ (186 മൈല്‍) വലന്‍സിയ മേഖലയില്‍ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് വീടുകള്‍ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിന് രണ്ടാഴ്ചയ്ക്ക് ശേഷമാണ് നടന്നത്.
